Its redesigned, narrow body requires minimal counter space while providing a broad grind range suitable for espresso, moka pot, AeroPress, pour-over and other filter brewing methods.
The grinder is equipped with 64 mm Red Titanium-coated flat burrs. The durable coated burr surface is designed to provide consistent grinding performance and reliable operation during regular home use.
Its stepless grind adjustment system allows the grind size to be changed without fixed adjustment steps. This provides the fine level of control required when dialling in espresso, while also allowing the grinder to be adjusted for coarser filter-coffee brewing methods.
The DF64 AIR uses a single-dose workflow, meaning that only the amount of coffee required for the next preparation is loaded into the grinder. Its approximately 20 g single-dose hopper is suitable for standard espresso and filter-coffee portions, while the low-retention internal design helps minimise the amount of ground coffee remaining inside the grinding chamber.
An integrated anti-popcorn funnel prevents beans from bouncing inside the hopper during the final stage of grinding. This promotes a steadier feed into the burrs and helps the grinder process the complete dose more consistently.
The revised 210 W AC motor operates at a fixed speed of approximately 1,400 rpm. The updated motor and compact housing are engineered to provide quieter operation than the previous DF64 Gen 2.5 platform while maintaining stable performance across the grinder’s full adjustment range.
